Explore 29 Latest Cards from Magic: The Gathering's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Set (Featuring a Commander-Style Precon Deck!)

The world's favorite pizza-loving heroes are making their way to the popular trading card game. The popular trading card game's company, the game's creators, revealed a much-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration during a special event held at New York Comic Con. Could this be a radical new set or yet another Universes Beyond cash grab? We'll let you decide.

Check out here at all the details revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, including key context. All items listed below releases on March 6, 2026, with one exception — the Pizza Bundle arrives a few weeks later on March 27.

Magic x TMNT: Main Set Cards

Before diving into all the various unique products and collections available, let’s take a look at the full lineup from the core Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion that were revealed by the developers. Standard booster packs for the expansion are priced at $6.99 each, while Collector Boosters are priced at $37.99 per pack.

Let's unpack a few shell-shocking features. To begin, there's a new mechanic named Sneak Attack, which is a riff on the already established Ninjutsu ability, in which gamers can cheat big creatures into the battlefield whenever an attacker isn’t blocked. The big difference in this case is that this new ability can apply to spells that aren’t creatures as well. Wizards also took the opportunity to clean up the mechanic a bit (Sneak counts as playing a spell, unlike the older mechanic). The original ability isn't going away, but it's more likely we'll see the new mechanic in upcoming expansions moving forward.

“If we ever go back to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use Ninjutsu because that's where it originated and it is iconic of that world,” an experienced game designer stated. “However in other settings, since the rules are cleaner and Sneak will be Standard-legal, it's more likely that we'd use Sneak.”

Another version of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai, is one of four special cards with unique artwork designed exclusively for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles original artist the co-creator.

Additionally, should you be surprised by the rules text on Turtles Forever, which allows playing cards that aren't in your main deck, so was I. Yet as per the developers, that's now a official card in every format of Magic.

In any case, here are the highly unusual full-art lands from the TMNT set:

Following Wizards of the Coast's current policy, all these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard play. The designers state they were careful to make sure the cards and mechanics worked smoothly with other Standard sets like Edge of Eternities.

“I headed the development for 15 months and we knew it would be Standard-legal and what other sets were going to be near it in standard,” the designer commented. “Our goal was to ensure that there's synergy with certain expansions including Edge of Eternities.”

For example, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a blue-red strategy built around artifacts.

“They combine to provide the components for a fun Standard deck,” he says.

Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!

After declining to design any pre-constructed Commander decks for the Spider-Man set and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, Wizards is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It’s only a single precon, but it includes six distinct legendary cards that can serve as your Commander based on how you pair them (five of the cards have a special Partner mechanic called “Character Select” that lets you start with two of them in the command zone instead of only one). Check them out below:

This Commander precon is set at $69.99, although the price may rise based on demand. Wizards told that it contains 43 brand-new cards in total, which translates to an additional 37 TMNT-themed game cards besides the six legendary commanders shown earlier. (Calculating roughly, this suggests about 20 reprints if we assume the deck includes 37 land cards.)

How will the TMNT version of the iconic Sol Ring look like? Fans must wait and see.

Standard Bundle (Standard Edition)

Typically, the company is selling a collection. This one is priced at $69.99 and includes the following:

  • 9 Standard Boosters
  • Fifteen Foil land cards
  • 15 Non-foil basic lands
  • Two helper cards
  • 1 Traditional foil promo card
  • 1 Oversized spindown life counter
  • One storage box

Pizza Bundle

This is a unique concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, mostly in that it is packaged in what looks like a pizza delivery box. Each Pizza Bundle is priced at $99.99 and includes the following:

  • Nine Standard Boosters
  • One Premium Booster
  • Twenty-five Regular pizza lands
  • Five Traditional foil pizza-themed lands
  • Two Traditional foil Pizza Bundle promotional cards
  • Two Reference cards
  • One Large life tracker
  • 1 storage box

If you’re wondering what a “Pizza Bundle promo card” is, it’s basically a reprinted older card with brand-new TMNT artwork. The team showed one for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of master Splinter sprinkling toppings on a pizza. There are six distinct pizza promos in total.

This special bundle releases a few weeks after the core set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Night

This special bundle is designed for a four-person draft and is priced at $119.99. It includes:

  • Twelve Standard Boosters (ideal for four people to play draft)
  • 1 Collector Booster (also known as, the reward for coming in first)
  • Ninety Regular land cards (to build your deck)
  • 10 Regular double-sided tokens
  • One Draft insert (a one-sheet guide to drafting the set)

Turtle Team-Up

Finally, the developers are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its ongoing effort to create Magic products aimed at new players. Here, the cooperative set is a special set of decks that allow two players team up against a “Boss” deck that pilots itself.

The concept here that each Boss card grants special abilities to the creature cards included in the Boss deck. The Boss automatically plays an additional card each turn, and you’ll start off battling {one Boss|
